Counting Days is really a retrospective indicator. It can tell any woman when her last signs of ovulation was. But, it works well as a predictor for the next ovulation in women whose cycles are very regular. If the woman has a regular cycle, then this method can work for her. For example, if she has a perfect 30-day cycle, she will ovulate on day 16 (30-14=16). Day 1 is the first day of her next period.
Body basal temperature charting is perhaps the most popular method of tracking ovulation among women trying to get pregnant. Your body basal temperature will rise by a few tenths of a degree, and stay elevated, after ovulation.
