African names

In certain African cultures, such as in Cameroon, the eldest son gets the family name for his given name, also, giving names such as “Thomas Thomas” (but the names are not European names like this one). Here is a list of names:
ABIODUN – Means “born on a festival” in Yoruba.
ABIOYE – Means “born into royalty” in Yoruba.
ABOUBACAR – Form of ABU BAKR used in Western Africa.
ACHIENG – Feminine form of OCHIENG
ADAEZE – Means “king’s daughter” in Igbo.
ADANNA – Means “father’s daughter” in Igbo.
ADIKA – First child from a second husband
AMINA – Peaceful, secure
There are Zimbabwean children named Wedding, Funeral, Everloving, Passion and Anywhere, among others. Because of the large human migrations of Africans to the New World predicated on the dynamics of history and global capital, there is a preponderance of Bantu vocabulary in South and North America.
